My other job

Some of you may know that I also work for the Boys & Girls Club of Salem. This past weekend I got to go to the State Keystone Conference with some of our teens. Keystone is a high school leadership program that focuses on Academic Success, Career Development, Service Learning and character and leadership. Here is a slideshow of photos from our fun weekend!

Becky and Benjamin

My engagement session with Benjamin and Becky was one of the funnest (I know that's not a word) shoots I've ever done. There was lots of snow, singing and gorgeous scenery. I have no doubt that these two people love each other very deeply and I am honored to be a part of their journey. They epitomize what a husband and wife should be for each other. All while keeping the Lord at the center of all they do together.

Becky and Benjamin are a sweet couple and I'm delighted to have the opportunity to photograph their big day coming up in June. This last Sunday we headed over to Detroit where the mountain snow set the scene for their engagement shoot. Here are some of the photos from our fun day together.

Baby Knox is almost here!

Knox Hudson is due any day now. I just love that name for boy! Alyssa was such a beautiful person to photograph. We strolled around Zenith Vineyards in West Salem. The scenery was awesome, as there was snow in hills surrounding us. Yes, I said SNOW...and yes mama is wearing a sleeveless dress. But isn't she dashing?!

Making My Move

Well, it is official! I am getting ready to make my move into a new office space. I am really excited, but nervous at the same time. I wouldn't really call the space a studio because I won't be doing any studio shoots there (for now), but it will hopefully get to the point where it feels like a studio. So it's time to bust out my interior design skills, with the help of my husband, Jeff! I will be sharing the space with a graphic designer named Benjamin Endicott. He is so talented and I know that we will be able to collaborate when it comes to sharing our creative ideas. The space is located at the IKE Box in downtown Salem.

I will post some photos of the space soon, but just to warn you, it is in a basement. Right now it's an empty space with concrete walls and floors but the potential for creating something warm and inviting is there. We will start working on painting and some small remodeling in about two weeks. I'll be sure to post updates as we progress. Once it's all done, I'm sure we'll have an open house for all our friends and family to come visit.

This is a big deal for me so prayers are gladly accepted. Thank you to everyone that has supported me! I hope this is just the beginning to something bigger than I can even imagine.

Here is a link to the IKE Box so you can check out what their story is.

McKenzie is who I like to refer to as my Photo Goddess. You can see why here...
